From Darkness to Light

I began with a fascination for female portraits. Through painting, I found a way to express my feelings—of being somewhat invisible and not entirely present.

I simply kept going, refining my skills in portrait painting while evolving my own unique style.

I enjoyed painting, but the content that emerged was intense. It felt like it reflected something deeply personal about me, while also speaking to the broader trauma within our society.

What fascinated me was that the content, though intense, carried a profound sense of strength. The work was never pitiable; instead, I saw it as a testament to the resilience required to face and transform deep pain. It also highlighted society’s unspoken taboo around confronting so-called “negative emotions.”

I also returned to drawing and found great joy in creating pieces that revealed deeper layers while incorporating a sense of humor. I loved working with differnt materials, simple colors, and experimenting with compositions.
